This is the Burgplatz in the southwestern Leipzig city-centre. The tower belongs to the Neues Rathaus ('New Town-Hall'), build 1899-1905 on the ruins of the medieval Pleißenburg.
It is with approx 114 m. the highest tower in Leipzig, giving you a fine sight far beyond the outer rims of the city... On clear days you can see as far as the Fichtel Mountains ('Fichtelgebirge')!
