Circus Probst is one of the big circus-families remaining in Germany. The Probst-Family originates from Coswig, a city in the eastern part of Germany (near Dresden) and each christmas for 12 years now they have chosen Gelsenkirchen as one of their touring-places.
The preformance is great as are the artists themselves: These year 2008 we could enjoy - besides the amazing Probst-Family - ukrainian athletes, a juggler, clown and contortionist from Spain, a Trio from Colombia, Elephant-Trainers from Switzerland etc...
The tent is well cared for, clean and heated, the prices for drinks and sweets are moderate. The entrance itself is quite costly but for a one-in-a-year-event you should consider doing this.
