This strangely built hexagonal tower of an ancient Roman church is still an unsolved archaeological enigma. Shape and height are utterly different from any other ecclestic tower seen before.

The tower is the only remnant of the church that was found here before and which was completely destroyed in the fierce artillery-fire of WW II in May 1940.

Again: The cooling-towers in the background which so nicely round up the overall impression are that of Nuclear Power Plant Cattenom seen from the Tour Usselskirch.
