Rheinkalk has in 2007 started the Silberberg Project. This means the beginning of the limestone excavation is taking place, allowing the work Flandersbach to operate another 40 years.
In this picture you see the Gut Köttchen (where there are no longer living people) and some huge Rheinkalk-machines in the background. Since this picture was taken on a holiday, they are (obviously) not in use.
