The castle Morsbroich lies, surrounded by beautiful park, at the eastern edge of Leverkusen. 1220 it was mentioned the first time. 1774 Ignaz von Rol tore down the castle and replaced it with the actual castle. 1974 the castle was acquired by the city of Leverkusen. The castle was again opened after a complete renovation in October 1985. Since the re-opening a museum for current art of the present is among other things in the building. Beside the main building is the museum cafe and the museum restaurant.
