This is Somerset Dam, or Lake Somerset. It was built to be the main water source for the nearby town of Brisbane, and now is one of three main dams that supply water to the region. Three weeks ago, the water was so low, that the boats had been stopped from using it to ski on for fear of an accident. This past month we've received the whole wet season forecast for rain in only a few weeks, filling the dam, and allowing the boats to come back to what was once a beautiful spot for recreational fishing, swimming, and water skiing.
