Some 100 mtrs before the Theologos village entrance, Sibylle and Siegfried Bitzer (Germans by birth) have brought a sanctuary into existence that has even been subject to some popular german TV-Specials. PEGASUS offers shelter for horses and donkeys (that would otherwise not survive) and offers trekking-tours throughout the beautiful Thassos-landscape (Prices vary, starting at about 20,00 EURO/hour).
Within their Sanctuary a small restaurant is open to the public in the main-season and groups are invited to ask for rooms (maybe just in a stable or barn, but hey! THATS's FUN

If you feel it is a good idea to help their animals and the Bitzer's mission please contribute in whatever way seems appropriate: Donations for medicine and animal-feed are happily accepted, and all riders are welcome to invest an hour of fun and some EUROS to keep the project going!
