This picture was taken from the Esslingen Burg / Castle from the early 14th century whicht survived the World Wars unharmed. It's main sight as of today, the Big Tower 'Dicker Turm' was built in the early 16th century.
The Esslingen Castle is nicely nestled into a small vinyard high above the city of Esslingen a.N.
In July 2008 the Esslinger Burg turned temprarily into an Open-Air Cinema.
