About 220 bottlenose dolphins are estimated to have survived in the Adriatic Sea. They live year round in the Croatian coastal waters. Founded in June 2000, the project to 'Save the Last Adriatic Dolphins' is being carried out in cooperation with veterinarians from Zagreb University and Gesellschaft zur Rettung der Delphine (Germany).
