This fine castle is located in the district Niedernhausen of the municipality of Fischbachtal.
The earliest findings date back into the 12th century, but the Renaissance-style castle you see today was built around 1570-1581.
Castle Lichtenberg is open to the public from the end of March till the end of October (varying opening-times). Inside you find diverse historical peasant-tools, the display of an early pharmacy, a museum for historical toys from the Odenwald-area.
The fee for an adult are 2,00 Euro and for a child 1,00 Euro.
